Excavation vs herbicide — which do you need?
Herbicide treatment costs less and works well when you have two to three seasons and no groundworks planned. Excavation costs more up-front but clears the ground immediately, which is what a developer, a buyer in a chain or a lender under time pressure usually needs. What knotweed excavation costs
On-site burial for a small domestic stand typically runs £4,000–£8,000. Dig-and-cart to a licensed landfill is usually £150–£250 per tonne once haulage and gate fees are included, which puts a modest garden stand around £8,000–£15,000. Root barrier installation alone commonly falls between £2,500 and £6,000. Every quote is fixed after survey.
